Legolas shrugged. "You already told me I couldn't possibly understand. Not even my wildest fantasies could construe all that you am, all that you possess at you fingertips, remember?" He picked up one of his neat little pieces of meat and stuck it in his mouth and licked off all the juice. "Its okay, I get it. I, too, am a mystical creature beyond all understand by the likes of you." He put his other hand to his chest. "I know no one can possibly comprehend. I'm doomed to be lonely and misunderstood for the rest of my life. But that's just way it is." He shook his head sadly.

"We all are, aren't we?" Eilien said, "in our own way. But some more than others." He went back to eating his meal, deciding he was more concerned with nourishment than idle chatter. Though it was not so idle after all. But even if Legolas tried to spark conversation, he was just going to ignore it.

Legolas paused to eat a few more piece of his meat, looking thoughtful all the while. "I didn't know you had such deepness in you, Eilien. But then again, I guess you are really an old man even if you still look like a bitty baby. Shame you never get to grow up. You'll be short forever," he said, and cackled, before returning to his food. It turns out almost being killed was very draining on ones energy, and now he really was hungry. Surprisingly, very surprisingly, he thought, it didn't actually taste too bad.

Eilien was done having such strange, close conversations with Legolas. It felt almost wrong. Sneering slightly, he finished his meal and set his plate down firmly on the table. "Well, now that that's over." He stood up from the table, and suddenly, staggered, as if he had been hit with something. He paused and looked around. There was a disturbance. he could sense it. Ever since his days as a Speaker for the Night Mother, he had gained a keen feeling of all things that worked under her eyes, especially when it came to blood shed. Something was going on, and the Night Mother was amused by it. There was no Listener to interpret it, but Eilien could hazard a guess. He bit his lip gently.

"I'm not done," Legolas said immediately. He didn't want to get sick, stuffing all the meat down his throat at once. That wasn't a good idea. When he saw Eilien stagger forward, he rose halfway out of his chair, but then sat back down when it became apparent Eilien wasn't going to fall on his face. "Did you trip?" he asked, raising his eyebrows.

Eilien shook his head. "It's nothing," he said with a sigh. "Just feels like another one of those..." He cut himself up, his face becoming rather stern and severe, like a little kid trying to imitate and old person. Only Eilien was an old person, so he pulled it off better. "I need to go talk to our glorious leader, Rinori." He respected her somewhat, but she still felt so young and inexperienced to him. Everyone did. So he still somewhat viewed most everyone as children, for better or worse. Made him very unpredictable.

"Okayyy, just wait a second." Legolas took another couple quick bites of his meal before standing up. He speared the last couple pieces of his meat with his dagger to carry them easily so he could finished and keep up with Eilien at the same time. He'd almost died for his meal, it would be a shame to waste it. "I'm ready now," he announced.

"I need to speak with our great and glorious leader then," he said simply, heading out of the room to go find her. He had a few guesses where she could be, but seeing as the Sanctuary was not terribly large, Rinori would technically be easy to spot.
