"The wilds intrigue you, do they?" he asked. He knew enough of Skyrim's wilds to be very familiar with them. There were still some places unexplored. Per its title of wilds, it was every changing and growing, shifting with the animals and the winds and the things that lurked in its shadows. He took another bite and chewed softly. "I too love the wilds of Skyrim. To drink from a hidden spring, surrounded by fireflies. To wake on a mountain ledge with the sun cresting snow covered peaks. To be put to sleep with the serenades of wolves in the hills. To see the giants and spriggans, and the things of old, forgotten legends." He paused. "Sorry. I was rambling." He smiled softly and ducked his head, playing with his meat some more.

"Oh! No need to apologize." Iirefire did like hearing the ramblings of people whenever she mentioned the wilds of Skyrim. The only thing she was on edge about were Nords and Dragons that were around. Well Nords that were Stormcloaks that is. Even Stormcloaks didn't like her despite she had nothing against Nords. "I just wish I could see it more. However, I have an inn to run." She let out a small laugh. "Anyways... would you like anything else with your food? I was thinking-" She flinched suddenly, her finger touching a bit of sharp chipped glass from earlier. It drew a bit of a cut, but not enough to make people go crazy or something. "Ah sorry about that, pricked my finger on some glass. One moment." She began to wrap some silly napkins around her finger.

Erebus reached out and took her hand. "No, no, allow me." He pulled the little cloth napkins away and wiped the blood off with the corner of one slowly. "Gentle and smooth, and the bleeding will stop, see?" He held her finger between two of his own, and indeed, the bleeding had stopped, even though the cut was still there. He very carefully wrapped a strip of fabric around the finger before tying it off with a very neat little knot.

As this was happening, Iirefire's face was starting to turn red, mostly because he was handsome and he was quite the gentleman to help her out. A small, shy smile crossed her face. "T-Thank you." She said in a soft voice.

Erebus smiled at her bashfulness, looking deep into those dark brown eyes of hers. Or were they red? In the candlelight, they looked rather red. Almost like his own. He slowly let go of her finger, leaving a trail of red aura between their hands. He never liked defaulting to such base maneuvers, but it never hurt to let magic weave a little bit into it. She clearly had a desire for something more than running a tavern in Whiterun. He could use that as a starting point. She was clearly strong and smart, beautiful, resolute. He could use all this to his advantage. In his plans. The particular vampire allure he had passed on to her was some of the more subtler stuff. He did not want a vegetative, half-zombie drool fest following his every whim and order like some thrall. He wanted an independent yet compliant partner. Was it too much to ask? Not really. He had had them before. Not a whole lot. He was very particular about his women. But he knew by know what type he really liked. Even at first glance, Iirefire seemed like a most desirable candidate. A little better than that Redgaurd woman he had had his eye on earlier.

Poor Iirefire didn't even know what was happening to her. She stared right back into his eyes, her cheeks still pretty red from his act of kindness, and also how much of a gentleman he was to her. In all honesty, no one treated her like that before. No one really had ever been so kind to her. It was surprising and nice for once. She broke her gaze for a moment to stare at her hand once he pulled it away from her, unaware that magic was being used on her. "S-S-So..." She tried to say, yet she really had no idea what to say after that moment. She stared back at him, her brown eyes twinkling a little bit.

Erebus let another little trail of that dark, deep magic spread from his fingertip and into her. It was almost funny how easy it was to weave a spell that could ensnare a soul. He gave her a soft smile, and then, feeling oddly angry for unexplained reasons, he decided he needed to leave. Putting some coin on the counter, he stood up. "It is late, my lady, and I need to retire. Thank you for your hospitality, and I will see you in the morning." Without much of another pause or thought or moment, he gave her a slight bow, then left the room for the quarters he and his brother were renting for the night. He went quickly into his room and closed the door. Nyx was sitting on the edge of one of the beds, having taken his armor off. He was reading through one of his badly rotted books. But when Erebus entered, he seemed to sense that something was off. He glanced up from the pages to look Erebus in the eyes. Erebus just smiled at his silent question. "It's nothing," he said, waving Nyx off. He took his armor off and dropped onto the bed. But he was not actually going to sleep. He hardly slept anymore these days. He kept feeling like someone was watching him.

Poor Iirefire stood there in shock, trying to comprehend what had happened just now. She slowly moved her hands to her chest, noticing her heart was pounding. Afterwards she resumed cleaning, still thinking about that strange man... She still had no idea why though. She continued to clean and clean, before she wandered to her quarters down below. She needed sleep after all. She still thought about that man... would she see him in the morning? She hoped so.

The next morning, Erebus awoke at around six. He had finally dozed off at four, getting only two hours of sleep. Nyx was awake, reading from his decaying book with the light of a candle on the nightstand. Erebus yawned, rubbing his eyes. "You could have woken me," he said. Nyx turned a page slowly. He knew more than anything that Erebus needed his sleep. "Mmm, didn't cross my mind," he said. "Besides, I think I know what I need now." "Really?" Erebus asked. He sounded worried. Nyx rolled his eyes. "Don't fear. I'm just going to go get it myself. You can stay here and whisper sweet nothings to your latest catch as long as you want." He closed the book with a slap and stood up from the bed. Tossing the book back on his pillow, he started to don his armor. "She's not my latest catch," Erebus said, a slight smirk pulling at the corners of his mouth. "Hmm, sure," Nyx said. 'And what about the Reedgaurd princess?" "She wasn't really a princess. She was the third daughter of the fourth wife of the King." "That still counts as a princess. And answer my question." Erebus sighed. "I don't know." "She's expecting to meet you in Cyrodiil again, you know." "She's no Iirefire," he said softly.

The morning was cold and groggy, yet Iirefire was beaming happily as she woke up. She headed downstairs, getting the chefs up to start breakfast. Occasionally she passed the stairs, she paused and looked up. She wondered if the two of them were still there. She let out a sigh before she began to wander around, making sure everyone was working and not messing around. "Iire?" Iirefire turned to face Evelona, a Brenton girl she took in as her stewardess a long time ago. She let out a small smile. "Good morning Eve." "I think you should take a rest today," Evelona suggested, walking over to her and patting her shoulders. "You were up really late last night working your heart out..." She considered before she nodded slowly. "I appreciate your concern. But I'll rest... after I get some food." She then headed off, pausing as she passed the stairs again, sighing softly.

Nyx was the first downstairs. Having finished donning his armor and with a packed bag slung across his shoulders, he just gave the stewardess a nod before he breezed through the room and out the door. Erebus came down a few minutes later, more easygoing, more slower. Like he had all the time in the world. Which he did. He went up to the bar and shot the stewardess a smile. "Something to eat, please. I really don't care what it is." He then went back to sit at a table. It was odd that he did not go sit by the fire to escape the chill of the early morning. Perhaps he was comfortable enough.

Evelona smiled and headed to go and get them some food, heading towards the back to get today's special. Meanwhile, Iirefire walked into the bar, unable to really keep herself from resting all that much. She paused seeing Erebus sitting from afar, but she made no real move towards him yet. She heard Evelona call her name, and she turned to aid her in cooking the food. When she entered the kitchen, Evelona shot her a confused look. "You've been eyeing someone out there haven't you?" She asked in a hushed tone. "Eh?!" Iirefire let out a slight laugh. "N-No not entirely." It was a lie of course. "It's just those two... well only one is here... But there's just something strange about them. It's not bad! We get a lot of strange people around and its a great thing to-" Evelona just let out a bit of a sigh. "... if you say so Iire..." She gathered up the food heading out and placing the plate of eggs, bacon and pork for Erebus. "Anything else I can get for you?" Evelona asked.

Erebus shook his head. He picked up the fork and stabbed it into a piece of bacon. It's crunchy, crisp exterior crinkled as it was stabbed. "Well, actually, is Iirefire around?" He had seen her go towards the kitchens, but then had lost sight of her when he glanced away and back again. He wanted to talk to her. About things.

Evelona was taken aback by what he requested. But she nodded, somewhat awkwardly. "Yes, let me go get her." With that she turned and headed into the kitchen once again. A few minutes later, Iirefire walked out, dusting off her dress a slight bit and waving away the steam and smoke coming from the kitchen, someone's breakfast was nearly set on fire. She walked over to Erebus, putting on a shy smile. "Good morning!" She beamed happily. "I was told that you were looking for me?" Her cheeks reddened again.

Erebus smiled when Iirefire entered the room. He had managed to eat all his eggs, and was back to working on the bacon now. "Yes, I wanted to say good morning. You just breezed through the room, and I wondered if something was the matter."
