The southernmost hold with Falkreath as its capital.

Haafingar is the smallest Hold in area. Appears as most remote, on the northwest coast peninsula. Seperated from Hjaalmarch by Karth River and Reach by mountains. Rocky and mountainous though lower lying areas have forests.

In the north at the mouth of the Karth River. Morthal lies near the centre of the hold. The hold is bordered by four others. Terrain is covered by wetlands, marshes, and swamps

Lies in central north and goes to the coast near Dawnstar. The hold borders Hjaalmarch, Whiterun, Winterhold, Eastmarch. Most of the region is treacherously cold, with almost the entire hold being snowy winter tundra. Only the southernmost part of the hold.

Covers western border. Called the Highlands of Skyrim. Rugged environment with few flat clearings, juniper trees and rich in valuable ores, especially silver. Surrounding holds include Whiterun, Haafingar and Falkreath.

Sub-boards: Markarth, Karthwasten, Druadach Mountains, Karthspire

The Rift is in the southeast. Major settlements include Riften and Shor's Stone. Its capital city, Riften, is home to the Thieves Guild.

Sub-boards: Riften, Ivarstead, Shor's Stone, Velothi Mountains

Is in north-east corner. A vastly cold region, most of the hold is covered in snowy tundra plains and high mountain ranges. The surrounding holds are Eastmarch, to the south, and The Pale, to the west.
