The courtyard can be accessed from within the temple. The courtyard itself is fairly sparse, with several trees and some practice dummies used for training.

The sunlight outside was patchy, sometimes covered by clouds, and a brisk wind was sweeping through the couryard, but there was sun, and that's all that Iselos cared about. She'd carried her whole stack of old papers outside to the courtyard to read and organize, but the whole stack sat to the side, untouched and she laid out on her back, eyes closed. She was halfway asleep because the sunlight was very nice but she knew she wasn't supposed to be sleeping, so she never let herself fall all the way asleep. She'd open her eyes ever couple minutes and look back at the stack of papers as if she was contemplating working, but then she didn't.

Lesorlain Frostlock, on completing his mission to the best of his capability, returned home, empty handed. It was not a successful mission. He had indeed failed. Try hard as he might, he could not find the scroll that was supposed to determine Alduin's burial ground. Did he really even have one? Lesorlain was no archivist, but he was pretty sure there was some business of the dragon being sealed away, not killed. And besides, the Dragonborn had taken care of that one. The Blades had other fish to fry now. Still, he was coming home now. Away for six months, he could not help but feel a twinge of homesickness as he gazed upon the familiar tiled roofs and arches. He weaved his way throughout the building, letting his fingers graze across the walls as he passed them. And on he went into the courtyard, his favored place, as it held the most peace and the most spectacular views. Iselos was there. The bosmer smiled softly behind his mask as he approached her. As usual, she was bent over something. He bowed to her seated form, as he stood behind her, and he said, "greetings, my lady."

Iselos's eyes flew open and she twisted to see who the speaker from behind her was, hoping it wasn't someone important who had caught her napping. Immediately recognizing Lesorlian, she jumped to her feet. Her leg brushed her pile of documents to look over as she stood and they cascaded all over the cobblestones, but she ignored them. "Lesorlian, you're back!" she said, and stepped close to give him a quick hug. "How did it go? Did you find anything?"

Lesorlain still was not used to the hugging thing. But he let her get away with it. It was nice to come home to a warm, friendly greeting, even if it was given by the most unlikely of people. "Nothing but dead ends, over and over," he replied with a sigh. He rubbed the back of his head. "The trail stopped dead cold, and I couldn't pick up anywhere that I left off at. I've called off that trail. Just like the last one unfortunately. I'm beginning to think something like Alduin's burial ground really doesn't exist."

Iselos's shoulder slumped a little, and her smile faltered, but then she shrugged and her smile returned. "Maybe it doesn't. Maybe we've just been sending you out after false rumors all this time. It would be an awful lot of wasted time, but if there was something to find, I'm sure you would have found. it. Welcome home, anyways! I'm glad you're back." She knelt to the ground and began scooping together the documents that had fallen everywhere. "Are you hungry?" she asked, glancing up at Lesorlian. "I can probably find you some food. Or maybe someone else can." She wasn't the best cook. She offered to help, sometimes, and she was always told that the best she could do was to stay out of the kitchen and not touch anything, please.

"Oh yes, I can see all the work you're getting done." Oswin strolled into the courtyard, tossing and catching stone casually in one hand. "I expected to have something to show for today and instead I find you cavorting with.. Oh its Lesorlain. That's a face I haven't seen in a while." he gave a little salute, coming to stand beside Iselos. "If your back does that mean you have something for me?" he asked hopefully.

"Food would be-" Lesorlain cut himself off and turned at the sound of Ozwin's voice. The words were rather ironic, considering Lesorlain usually if not always wore his face mask. He wasn't exactly the prettiest person to look at. "Sadly no," he replied to the Breton's question. "As I was telling Miss Kaemridge, I was unsuccessful in finding anything but some very definitive dead ends." He hated that as much as Ozwin did, maybe more, since it was six months of his life he wasted now. "Hopefully the next goose I'm sent after won't be as wild."

"Yes, hopefully." Iselos said pointedly with a slight glare in Ozwin's direction. She had been against sending Lesorlian out in the direction they had, but as she remembered, Ozwin had found some old paper or another than he thought meant that the scroll was definitely up there, even after she had told him that one old paper meant nothing. "I was just going to get him some food," she told her partner and leaned around Lesorlian to place the pile of documents in Ozwin's arms. "You aren't invited. Why don't you look over these? They're from the Tico ruins, they might help. Use the mmmm," she made a vague noise and traced a squiggly sign in the air, "book if you need to look up a word you don't know, not the other one, okay?"

"Damn it!" Oswin threw his stone at the ground, ignoring Iselos's look. He'd really wanted to get his hand on that scroll. "Excuse me." He gaped at her when she shoved the papers on him. He would have dropped them but they were precious papers. "I was researching before you were born, don't lecture me on how to do my job. And this is your work anyway! I'm not doing it, I'm done for the day." He squinted at the sky, looking for the sun to see how far this day was along. It was still morning.

It really was refreshing to see everyone was as they always were. Nothing said home like peace, even if it was not quiet. "I'm sure Oswin can come if he wants," he said. But Iselos seemed to have made up her mind. And she was rather hard to go against. She had that Altmer high grace.

"You haven't done anything at all, you are not done," She told Ozwin, but she didn't want to push it. She could argue with him anytime she wanted, it was easy enough to get on his case about anything. But Lesorlian had just gotten home and she hadn't seen him in a long time and she didn't want to spend his whole first day back fighting with Ozwin. Grudgingly, she said, "Ozwin can come join us only when he's done something useful today. Come on, let's go find some food." She held her arm out towards Lesorlian.

"Mmm, depends on what you define as 'day'" Oswin said, transferring all of the papers to one arm so he could reach down for his stone. "If you define is as the time since I last went to bed, I've done plenty today and I definitely deserve food."

"Let's all have a meal together then," he said, deciding once and for all to compromise on something. Deciding that that would be the end of it, since he was apparently getting special treatment for coming home, he turned and walked for the kitchens, keeping Iselos' on his arm. "Come along then Oswin, if you so desire."
