"Thanks." Iandar squirmed down so he was more laying horizontal and curled up as close as he could get to Falco. "I'll keep watch for you when I wake up." he offered as he pulled the cloak up to cover most of his face.

Falco did not really see the need, but the offer was very considerate. Keeping his knees pulled to his chest, he huddled there in the cloak, sharing warmth with his newfound companion. He kept his eyes peeled for activity, but a boy herding a chicken and a Dunmer couple were the only real signs of life that came by within the hour.

Iandar woke up when he somehow managed to kick the cloak off and his feet were cold. Blinking blearily he tucked his feet back in and pulled the cloak closer to his face, closing his eyes again. But he was awake now, and he figured he wouldn't be getting back to sleep, so he pushed himself back up into a sitting position and glanced around for Falco. "how long was I asleep?"

Iandar's voice roused Falco, as he had been sort of dozing off in his own little daydream. "Oh! What? No, I mean, um... sorry." He rubbed his eyes, then his forehead. "Um, you were asleep quite a while," he said. "The sun moved across the sky." Iandar had slept maybe four hours or so, and it was late afternoon now. The wind had thankfully died down, and Falco had let his feet out from under the blanket. He now drew them back under the fold. "You slept very deep. Was it a good sleep?"

"Sorry, I woke you." Iandar said, realizing he should have checked around first. "Umm," he considered the question. "I guess it was. I was comfortable." It was nice having company for once, even if he was sleeping on the streets.

Falco shook his head. "No, no. It's fine. Let's go get some food." He said it before he really determined what that implied, which was something along the lines of that he trusted Iandar enough to share a meal with him. It was something of a momentous transformation, from total strangers to something of instant friends. But Falco was too young to understand such deepness. He just thought Iandar was a good person who was willing to share his cloak with him.

Iandar thought about that for a second, then smiled. "Okay." He knew that sharing food was big, and meeting the few other people who would share food as opposed to beating you up and steeling it had been the difference between life and death for him sometimes. He was glad he'd decided to share his cloak, and gotten a companion out of it. "Do you know anywhere good look?" Iandar asked, looking the cloak in a little in preparation to get up.

Thinking for a moment, Falco finally nodded. "Yah, I know a place where. There probably aren't any beggars there this time of day." He let the cloak drop from him as he stood, wrapping his arms around himself to try holding in as much warmth as he could from what he had gained under the blanket. He tugged on Iandar's sleeve. 'Come on," he said.

Iandar stood and gathered the cloak, leaving part of it around but carry the rest. "Lets hurry. It it inside?" Falco looked cold without the cloak and Iandar felt bad, but he didn't know Falco well enough yet to trust that he wouldn't take it and dash.

Falco shook his head. "No, it's outside. Near the Jarl's palace. So it's a bit risky. The guards will beat us for sure, and then some if they find out I'm Imperial." He still had his fingers wrapped in Iandar's sleeve. He pulled the boy along in the direction of the Palace of the Kings.

"This doesn't sound very safe." Iandar said, but he went anyway. Falco seamed like he'd done it before, and he'd survived it and was willing to go back, so the food must be worth it.
